If you were watching Carson Daly on July 17th, you may have caught Mioposto pizza maker Kyle and his band, Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground playing. If not, they have a video for you to watch on their website, or you can catch them tomorrow night at the Capitol Hill Block Party. Playing the Vera Stage at 10:15, these guys will be showing Capitol Hill what music from Mt. Baker sounds like.

You can get more information from their website www.bombsoverbellevue.com or see them at El Corazon on August 25th or Endfest at Qwest Field on September 22nd.
Face painting and pizza: A match made in Mt. Baker
June 26, 2007
If you walked by Mt. Baker Park last Thursday around 5 o’clock, you might have witnessed a little bit of chaos: pizza trajectiles flying over red flags, children learning to spin dough like an expert, balloons tied to wrists and a long line for the face painting booth. The weather did us a favor and kept the sun shining for the length of the Mioposto Solstice Dough Throw, allowing kids of all ages to participate in this fun and functional fundraiser for local children’s theater group Pied Piper.

The event was a rousing success, with many happy children leaving the park painted, ballooned and full! Families took the opportunity to spend the evening in the park, taking their pizzas to go, which added a picnic element to the already festive atmosphere.
If you didn’t make it this time, keep your eyes peeled on this blog for news about other upcoming events at Mioposto and other CHOW restaurants.
Just Like Mama Made–at Mioposto
May 25, 2007
Mioposto will soon be starting a new breakfast menu consisting of Italian cafe inspired dishes, all made in house in our wood-fired oven. At the tasting on Wednesday we sampled a variety of quiches and frittatas, even Bill’s take on a breakfast stromboli! My personal favorite was a quiche pie with proscuitto and drizzled with tutto calabria puree. This personal sized little dish packs a serious punch of heat–nothing like a little spice in the morning to get that brain ticking on the way to work.
Mioposto Employees Win Film Contest
May 24, 2007

Mioposto kitchen employee Martin Jarmick was a winner of the local ‘Three Minute Film Festival’. His film, “3,2,1, Movie” was created with a crew of other Mioposto employees (recognize the actor?) and gives a whimsical look at the creation of a movie with out human hands. For a full description, see the Seattle Times article. If this piques your interest, search for Martin on YouTube for a sampling of work by the creative minds that also mould your favorite pizzas.
